Financial Counsellor - Based in Nhulunbuy - Full Time Fixed Term Contract

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Financial Counsellor to provide financial counselling to people living across East Arnhem wh may be struggling with debt to get back on track by reducing the likelihood of ongoing financial crisis. Ensuring effective assessment and referral processes, the provision of advocacy and negotiation on the client’s behalf with credit providers as required.

This rewarding role will assist people in developing new skills to effectively manage their lifestyles and develop greater understanding how to make informed choices that will benefit both themselves and their families from a financial and social well-being perspective.

This role involves remote travel in small planes and 4WD driving and overnight stays in community.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess an  Northern Territory Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.
