About the Opportunity

headspace Katherine is currently recruiting for a private practitioner to join our headspace team. As a private practitioner, you will deliver effective, evidence - based interventions to young people aged 12 - 25 and their families experiencing mental health concerns. Allied Health Practitioners are a key component of the mental health services provided within headspace Katherine. As an Allied Health Practitioner, you will maintain high quality counselling, assessment and screening skills (inclusive of clinical risk and safety planning) through provision of direct service delivery.

The minimum qualification required is an approved tertiary qualification and minimum 3 years experience in a health-related discipline and registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, for example, AASW for social workers. Private Practitioners will need to have an ABN and be eligible for registration with Medicare and ATAPS. It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess an Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance) and a recent Criminal History Check. You must also be willing to undergo a National Child Protection Check prior to engagement with Anglicare NT. 

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess an Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence.
